About Rock City Counseling
Rock City Counseling was founded in 2019 by Joshua Halamek with one intention: to bring more love, compassion, and empowerment into the world. What began as a solo practice has grown into a space rooted in connection, innovation, and client-centered care – all grounded in the belief that every person matters.
We’re here to support you in building a life that feels aligned, whole, and authentically yours.

The Hearts Behind the Mission
Rock City Counseling is led by Joshua Halamek, LPC, Founder and CEO, and Logan Halamek, CPA, CFO. Together, they guide the practice with a focus on compassionate care, thoughtful growth, and a commitment to serving each client with intention.
Shaped by their own experiences with hardship and personal growth, they understand that healing is an ongoing journey. Community and connection are at the core of everything we do—and we’re honored to support and walk alongside those we serve.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept most major insurance carriers. Please refer to our insurance list for full details. If you are enrolled in a PASSE plan, please note that we are not able to accept those at this time.
Do you offer a reduced-fee option?
We do not offer reduced-fee services. Clients may use CareCredit if they prefer a financing option. For clients using out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill for reimbursement submission.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time incur a $75 late-cancellation fee. No-shows are charged $200. All balances must be paid in full before scheduling your next appointment. If extenuating circumstances arise, please inform us so we can determine an appropriate accommodation.
Do you offer telehealth services?
Yes. Many of our providers offer telehealth sessions for clients who prefer virtual care or who cannot attend in person. However, certain therapeutic approaches and goals require in-person sessions, and telehealth may not be suitable or clinically appropriate in those cases. Your provider will discuss what is recommended based on your treatment plan.
Why ketamine for psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy?
Ketamine is currently the only legal medication available for psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy in Arkansas. Research demonstrates strong outcomes in treating trauma and treatment-resistant depression. At our clinic, ketamine is administered via intramuscular (IM) injection due to its safety, consistency, and efficacy compared to other delivery routes. Additionally, this method allows us to offer treatment at a fraction of the cost of other psychedelic modalities available.
